Vokolla vs PRWeb: pricing, plans and how you buy

In short

PRWeb, owned by Cision, publishes four plans: US$120, US$245, US$360 and US$480 per news release, bought online after you create a free account. What changes between plans is syndication, a journalist email list and turnaround time (48 hours or 24). Vokolla publishes six packages from US$69, with up to 1,200 words and three images in each, and one free release every 30 days. We read both sites on 5 November 2026.

What PRWeb is and who it is built for

PRWeb calls itself an online news and press release distribution service and says on its FAQ page that it is owned by Cision US Inc., the company that also owns PR Newswire. Its “who uses it” page speaks to small business owners and says thousands of organizations use PRWeb.

PRWeb sells by the release, online: a published price, a free account and four plans that differ in how far the release is pushed.

What PRWeb publishes about its prices

Four plans, each priced per news release, with unlimited media assets in every one. The plans build on one another.

PlanPriceWhat the plan addsTurnaround
BasicUS$120Search visibility: relevant keyword tagging by its editorial team48 hours
StandardUS$245Syndication to a network of 1200+ websites powered by PR Newswire48 hours
AdvancedUS$360Email distribution to one industry-curated journalist list, proofreading by its editorial staff, enhanced network24 hours
PremiumUS$480Distribution to Sovrn’s content recommendation network, which connects the message with bloggers24 hours

PRWeb’s guidelines say a release should run between 300 and 800 words. We found no published price for extra length, multimedia or translation, so treat the plan price as the base and ask before you add anything.

How you buy PRWeb

Self-serve. You create a free account, choose “Purchase Release” in the News Management Console and complete the payment. There is no quote step. The pricing page does not mention a free release.

One thing to check on the plan you pick is the turnaround time. The pricing page lists 48 hours for Basic and Standard and 24 hours for Advanced and Premium, so for a release with a date on it, choose the plan that fits the day you need.

Package for package: Vokolla’s Brand Starter at US$69 is US$51 below PRWeb Basic; Global Reach at US$129 is US$116 below Standard; Premium Media at US$379, which adds AP News, USA Today, Barchart and StreetInsider, is US$101 below Premium. Global Impact at US$659 is priced above PRWeb Premium and is built around 20+ high-traffic outlets such as Yahoo, Business Insider, National Post and The Globe and Mail. The networks differ, so read each one’s outlet list before you decide.

What a press release does for your business

A release carries your website link out to news sites, so readers and search engines meet your brand on a page that carries a date and your own wording before they reach your homepage. Which links carry follow attributes depends on the outlet, and the report for your package shows what you got.

Our own release on the DoFollow Links package went live on the wire about four minutes after submission (25 October 2026), and when we checked on 4 November every one of its live pages carried followed links to vokolla.com. Rankings and AI answers depend on many factors, so we report what we saw rather than promise it; the guide to how distribution works shows what to check in any report.

Sources

Written and checked by the Vokolla editorial team. Vokolla is one of the services compared. Every competitor price and fact is taken from that company’s own website on the date shown in the sources, with the page address, and is re-checked every quarter; where we describe in plain words how something works, that is our reading of the page. Prices change, so confirm on the company’s page before you decide. Results quoted for Vokolla come from our own releases. Search rankings and AI answers depend on many factors, so no distribution service can guarantee them. Company and product names belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
