Press release distribution services compared: prices and how to buy
In short
Press release services publish their prices in very different ways. PRWeb (from US$120), EIN Presswire (from US$149) and Newswire.com (from US$399) show a price you can pay online. Business Wire shows one starting price (US$475) and ACCESS Newswire a monthly subscription (US$920 to US$1,525). PR Newswire and GlobeNewswire publish no price list. Vokolla publishes a price for every package, from US$69. Below, what each says on its own site, with the date we read it.
What each service publishes about its price, and how you buy it
Every cell below comes from the company’s own website, read on 5 November 2026. We use only prices that each company publishes on its own site. Each service has a page of its own in the list at the end.

The same job, priced on each site: one 400-word release with one image
Base prices cover different things, so read this table as a map, not a ranking: for a plain 400-word release with a single image sent to a US audience, it shows what each service’s own pages let you work out.
| Service | What you would pay | What the page says about the basis |
|---|---|---|
| Vokolla | US$69 to US$659 by package | Up to 1,200 words and three images in every package price |
| PRWeb | US$120 to US$480 by plan | Unlimited media assets; its guidance for length is 300 to 800 words |
| EIN Presswire | US$149 for one release | Basic plan: up to 700 words and one image |
| Newswire.com | US$399 to US$965 by plan | Prices cover unlimited words and images |
| Business Wire | From US$475; the rest by quote | 400 words on a US local circuit; wider circuits and extras priced on top |
| ACCESS Newswire | US$920 for the month on the Budget plan | One release a month, bundled with media database, monitoring and pitching tools |
| PR Newswire | Quote on request | Costs vary with scope, reach and services |
| GlobeNewswire | Quote on request | Contact sales for pricing and packages |
What sets the price at each service
The services price in five different ways, which is why one “price per release” cannot be read across.
- Distribution area and length. Business Wire prices by circuit (US local, regional, national, international) and length: 400 words in the starting price, more in 100-word increments, with photos and video priced per asset and translation per language.
- The plan you pick. PRWeb has four plans from US$120 to US$480 that differ in syndication, journalist email lists and turnaround time. Newswire.com has three national plans and a state plan, with unlimited words and images.
- How many releases you buy at once. EIN Presswire sells one release, a pack of five (plus one free for now) or a pack of fifteen, valid for 365 days, with a longer word limit in the bigger packs.
- A subscription. ACCESS Newswire sells a monthly plan that bundles one release with a media database, monitoring and pitching credits.
- A quote. PR Newswire and GlobeNewswire say costs depend on scope and ask you to contact them. Vokolla instead publishes one price per package.
Four checks before you pay anyone
Whichever service you use, ask these in writing or find them on the page:
- What is in the number: how many words, how many images, which circuit or network, and whether links and a logo are included.
- Is it per release or per month, and do unused credits expire? Vokolla credits never expire.
- Who sets the final price: a published list, or a quote confirmed after you apply.
- What you get afterwards: a report you can download, and a list of the live links you can open yourself.
Who each service says it is built for
- PR Newswire says public companies have used it for over 70 years to reach investors, analysts and media, and that it helps organizations of all sizes.
- Business Wire sets out plans for PR, investor relations and agency teams, including circuits for earnings releases and disclosures.
- GlobeNewswire describes itself as serving PR and IR teams, with more than 10,000 customers.
- ACCESS Newswire describes its subscriptions as built for mid-market PR teams that want platform tools without enterprise pricing.
- Newswire.com lists its Starter plan as ideal for local businesses and startups.
- Vokolla is built for brands, founders and growing businesses that want to announce a launch, partnership, milestone or event, see the price first and keep control of the text, package and timing.
What a press release does for your business
Whichever service you choose, a release does the same job for the business: it puts a launch, partnership or milestone on the record, dated and in your own words, on news sites that buyers, partners and reporters already read. The page is there when someone searches your company name, and its link leads back to your own site.
Of the pages from our paid English releases of 8 to 25 October 2026 that we could check, 98% were still online when we re-checked on 4 November 2026, up to 27 days after publication. Rankings and AI answers depend on many factors, so we report what we saw rather than promise it; the guide to how distribution works shows what to check in any report.

Sources
Written and checked by the Vokolla editorial team. Vokolla is one of the services compared. Every competitor price and fact is taken from that company’s own website on the date shown in the sources, with the page address, and is re-checked every quarter; where we describe in plain words how something works, that is our reading of the page. Prices change, so confirm on the company’s page before you decide. Results quoted for Vokolla come from our own releases. Search rankings and AI answers depend on many factors, so no distribution service can guarantee them. Company and product names belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
